While not quite the same level of pampering provided by the professionals, we can strive to emulate this care level from home.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">There are countless guides and tutorials for self-care tips and how-to’s in this day of readily available information on the internet.</span></p>
<h4><span data-preserver-spaces="true">How Do Your Nails Look These Days?</span></h4>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Many people can keep up basic nail maintenance at home, but the more advanced techniques are best left to the professionals. However, with some clippers, an emery board, and a buffer, you can bring a shine back to your nails that make you feel like&#8230;you.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">&nbsp;If you need some guidance, there are more than a few online videos and guides. Find one you’re comfortable with and have at it.</span></p>
<h4><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Keep Those Locks Luscious&nbsp;</span></h4>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Cutting your hair is not for the faint of heart. Any mistakes made here are harder to make up for, and you end up living with the repercussions for at least a month. However, with a little patience and know-how, you can keep your hair trimmed up and looking fresh when we all return to our offices and public places.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">If you have a style that you maintain, there should be many tutorials online you can search for and watch to learn how to freshen your look so that you’re ship-shape.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">This could also be an excellent time to try another style if you aren’t comfortable attempting a more complicated cut or finding a technique that you want to try.</span></p>

You can meditate, pray, stretch, practice yoga, lay in a pool, tan in the sun, go for a jog, take some time away from your stresses, and improve your mental state.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Since many of us are on the go 24/7, our minds don’t have a moment’s rest. It’s like leaving every program open that you’ve worked on in the last month on your computer; it slows everything down and eventually crashes. Our brains work the same way because they need to take a break to file things away to come back refreshed with a new outlook.</span></p>

<h4><span data-preserver-spaces="true">It’s Good for your Body</span></h4>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Research on positive emotions is limited, as most research only looks at the impact of negative emotions and stress. The studies that we do have suggested many benefits to your health, such as lower blood pressure, reduced risk for heart disease, healthier weight, better blood sugar levels, and longer life.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Not to say that there isn’t a place in life for negative emotions, everything has a purpose in the right situations. The key is finding a balance between the two extremes.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">The positive emotions fight against depressive symptoms and help alleviate people from stress, which there have been many studies done on the ailments it can cause.</span></p>
<h4><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Happy Actions Lead to Happy Thoughts</span></h4>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">So how do I start living on the sunny side of life? Is it as easy as “think happy thoughts,” as Peter Pan would say? Taking walks in nature, meditation, and having an open and warmhearted mentality are some great starters to get your thoughts right.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Clearing your head of the everyday stressors and focusing on the beautiful things around you is an excellent start to getting on the right track to happiness.</span></p>
<h4><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Friends Help with Optimism</span></h4>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">You can also reach out more often to your friends and family to feel more socially connected. Social connectivity gives our brains the warm fuzzy feelings without much effort, as you typically are happier around other people.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">The psychological benefits of just having a brighter outlook make a big difference in your everyday life. You sleep better and maintain a higher level of antioxidants.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">All you need to do is take some time to think about the positive things in your life and appreciate them. It becomes a habit before you know it, and you don’t even need to force it.</span></p>
