Your cooperation is key in allowing us to do all we can do to mitigate the virus’s spread. As you may know, it’s possible for individuals who do not exhibit symptoms to spread COVID-19. Therefore, it’s vital that we continue to follow the procedures and guidelines set by the CDC:

• All surfaces within our offices are regularly cleaned and sanitized, as well as exam rooms after every patient

• Patients check in for appointments from their car and remain there until an examination room is available

• Before any patient enters the office, they are required to wear a face mask

• Patients are led directly into the examination room

Please remember to bring a mask with you to your appointment as we have a limited supply available to us. Also, please take steps to make your wait more comfortable, like bringing water and wearing comfortable clothing.

Lastly, if you are unable to wait in your car, we do offer telemedicine appointments, which can be scheduled by clicking here.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times. Rest assured, your health and safety are our number one priority.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the office: 844-797-8425.

Faster testing for the Coronavirus is now available. The COVID-19 (coronavirus) rapid test detects previous exposure to the virus or early stage infection with a small blood sample.

Who Should Have This Test?

The COVID-19 Rapid Test is for anyone who would like to know if they have been exposed to COVID-19 but are asymptomatic.

The test should be a consideration for folks who have high-risk individuals in the home with compromised or underdeveloped immune systems.

The COVID-19 Rapid Test enables healthcare workers to make a prompt diagnosis for COVID-19, notifying the patient that they should self-quarantine, and scheduling the patient for further testing.

The Cost of the COVID-19 Rapid Test

$99 – Includes the Telemedicine Visit and a Rapid COVID-19 Test, self-pay
$49 – Includes the Telemedicine Visit and a Rapid COVID-19 Test with insurance paying a portion

What Happens Next?

• If the test results are positive for an early stage infection, we will obtain a swab specimen for laboratory confirmation. You will need to follow up with your primary care provider via telemedicine, or go to an ER if you are critically ill. You should self-quarantine until results are obtained.

• If the test results are positive for previous exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19), you will be directed to your primary care provider to determine your history of possible exposure. If you are actively sick, we will obtain a swab specimen for laboratory confirmation and direct you to self-quarantine until results are obtained.

• If your test results are negative, you will have peace of mind knowing that you are not infected nor putting those around you at risk.

As you may know, we’re offering drive-thru COVID-19 testing; however, testing supplies are limited so we want to share our procedure on how we’re handling this situation.

Our first step is a screening process via telemedicine to determine if your symptoms require further drive-thru testing.

With a telemedicine appointment, you see one of our providers via a digital device, like your phone, tablet or computer, from the safety and comfort of home. Sign up for an appointment online by clicking here, and selecting “Telemedicine Consultation for Coronavirus Screening.”

Due to the limited number of testing kits available, most kits are being reserved for patients who are admitted to hospitals. We are using telemedicine to prescreen patients for symptoms so that these tests are available for those of us who become seriously ill with the virus or the provider diagnoses as possibly having been infected and in danger, due to other factors of getting seriously ill.

Once a provider confirms that the symptoms you are experiencing are due to the coronavirus (based on the CDC guidelines), you will be directed to one of our drive-thru testing sites where you will be tested.

Remember, be safe and stay home when possible so that we can work together to #FlattenTheCurve. If you need to leave your house, please take preventative measures, like wearing a mask. Read more about preventing the spread of the coronavirus by clicking here.

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. — The medical director who oversees five urgent care clinics in Citrus County said he’s frustrated by the lack of coronavirus tests that are available to health care providers.

“We have zero tests,” said Dr. Dacelin St Martin. “We do have a lot of high risk people … therefore a lot of people may not be getting the test due to the rigid criteria that we are currently using.”

Dr. St Martin said his Quick Care Med clinics began turning away dozens of patients last week, that he believes need to be tested for the coronavirus.

“At least 100 but there are more patients that we think are qualified to be tested or that are seeking to be tested and not being tested,” he said. “We definitely need more tests and also equipment.”

For example, Dr. St Martin said one of his patients who recently gave birth to premature twins had someone stay in her home who’s from a coronavirus hot spot state.

“She called me over the weekend and said, ‘Doctor, I think I have the coronavirus.’ I said, ‘Why do you think so?'” Dr. St Martin asked. “‘I was exposed to someone who lives in Washington state and now I have chills and fever and sore throat and I don’t know what to do and I’d like to be tested.'”

St Martin said he told his patient to contact the Department of Health for a test but she was denied because the woman did not fall in the category to be tested.

“This is an example of what we are facing,” he said. “Reversely we tried to find a way to keep this person in isolation for now waiting for the opportunity to test her.”

St Martin said he hopes to have 10 coronavirus tests from a private lab available at all of his urgent health care clinics by the end of the week.

This past weekend, Citrus County saw its first official coronavirus case. The 60-year-old woman’s case is being classified as travel-related.
