Auto Accidents Happen Without Warning
June 12, 2017None of us wants to think about it, but we all know that an auto accident can occur any time we are in the car. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that 2.3 million Americans will be injured in auto accidents this year alone.
If you have an accident, do you have a plan?
Most people consider a visit to the emergency room following an accident, but not all of them end up going. Why? Emergency room wait times are often very long, and the last thing we feel like doing after this type of traumatic event is sitting in an uncomfortable waiting room chair for the next several hours.
At Quick Care Med, you can walk into one of our clinics any time, and we’ll see you as quickly as possible. We can do the same assessments, and offer the same treatments as emergency rooms for non-life-threatening injuries. Why go anywhere else?
It is important to remember that injuries suffered in an auto accident don’t always show up right away. The adrenaline in your body may stop you from feeling the aches, pains, and tingling that can suggest an injury. Stop in for an evaluation so we can help you feel better sooner.
Keep in Mind Florida’s 14-Day Rule
New laws have been passed in Florida that limit your ability to use your insurance’s personal injury protection (PIP) coverage. If you do not seek medical treatment from a licensed medical professional within the first 14 days following your accident, you will NOT be able to use the $10,000 provided for you by your policy – even if injuries show up later. Coming in and establishing care will help you protect your rights, so don’t delay!
